There is no spring coming anytime soon, except for brief periods of time between arctic outbreaks. Cold and snow will dominate thru mid April in many areas east of the Rockies. Several chief meteorologists have mentioned this.
Those meteorologists are probably in big tall buildings in New York City and possibly it is very cold there, and possibly God is freezing their little tushes off for being such incorrigible liars.
I was out playing in a cyclone (hurricane) one day when the weather report came over the radio, “clear skys, light winds”. The weather man failed to consider looking out the window.
That day, while standing on a ridge in semi mountainous country, whilst opening a gate, I saw a tree go sailing past me in the void between to ridges and I called out, “well that’s unusual”, even though I was by myself.
When I got back to base the news said how a guy from Texas was lost at sea in his helicopter somewhere between Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. He must have thought NZ storms are nothing like the ones in the state of Texas. Texas is in the USA.
You may have heard of it.

Except for Missouri, where it will be in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s after today.
